Evocative of legends and a witness of tragic shipwrecks

Located at the entrance to the Ria de Arousa fiord and away from the tourist circuits. There’s no regular passage boats to the island throughout the year.

It’s the third archipelago to the north of the National Park, with a higher level of protection than Ons and Cies Islands.

There are no means of transportation on the island, and the only allowed walks are to the lighthouse and to a couple of beaches. The abandoned peasant village with its lodges and paved street can be visited with a guide.

The only inhabitants at the island are the lighthouse-keeper and the park guard.
